Oscar is 36 years old born and lives in Medellin Colombia. At 19 he went traveling around the country, and in the Andes Mountains amongst the Cogui Indians he met a foreigner who taught him the ancient art of Egyptian loom weaving. When he returned home he taught his mother and sisters and today they have a small family business. Oscar says he loves being creative and making his own designs. He also loves community that is created when the weavers are working together, He says weaving is completely manual and up to you, so it has taught him to be patient and independent.
